Storyline
Grown Ups (2010) follows five lifelong friends — Lenny, Eric, Kurt, Marcus, and Rob — who reunite three decades after winning their junior high basketball championship. After the death of their beloved coach, the group gathers with their families at a lakeside house for a Fourth of July weekend. As the old friends catch up, relive childhood memories, and deal with the challenges of marriage, parenting, and adulthood, the weekend turns into a chaotic, nostalgic, and hilarious celebration of friendship that never really grows up.
Why It’s Our Vibe
Grown Ups is pure Adam Sandler ensemble comedy at its most relaxed and crowd-pleasing. Bringing together Sandler, Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider for a weekend of goofy humor, family chaos, and heartfelt nostalgia, the film delivers easy laughs and warm vibes. While critics were mixed, audiences embraced its lighthearted take on friendship, parenting, and never fully leaving childhood behind — a fun, rewatchable hangout movie perfect for a casual night in.
