Storyline
Supergirl (2026) follows Kara Zor-El, aka Supergirl, as she drifts through space after Krypton’s destruction. When a ruthless adversary strikes too close to home, she reluctantly teams up with an unlikely companion—a young girl named Ruthye seeking revenge—on an interstellar journey of vengeance and justice across the cosmos. Together, they confront dangerous foes, including the brutal mercenary Krem of the Yellow Hills, in a tale of personal stakes, resilience, and heroism.
Why It’s Our Vibe
Supergirl brings a fresh, edgier take on the Girl of Steel with Milly Alcock’s compelling lead performance, blending high-stakes action, cosmic visuals, and emotional depth. Directed by Craig Gillespie, it stands out in the new DC Universe with a more grounded, character-driven story inspired by the “Woman of Tomorrow” comic. Strong supporting turns from Eve Ridley, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Jason Momoa as Lobo add flavor, while the interstellar adventure and themes of loss and justice make it a bold, entertaining entry that expands the DC slate with heart and spectacle.
