Miley Cyrus

Early Life

Miley Cyrus was born on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, USA. Born Destiny Hope Cyrus, she earned the nickname "Smiley," later shortened to "Miley," due to her cheerful disposition. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in the entertainment industry, her father is the country music star Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley showed an early inclination towards music and acting, quickly following in her father's footsteps.

Career Beginning with First Album

Cyrus's career was catapulted to fame with the Disney Channel television series "Hannah Montana," where she played the titular character. The show's success led to the release of the "Hannah Montana" soundtrack album in 2006, where Cyrus sang eight songs. Her debut studio album, "Meet Miley Cyrus," was released in 2007 as the second disc of the double album "Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus," marking her first release under her own name. It featured the hit single "See You Again" and showcased a pop rock sound.

Second Album: Breakout

In 2008, Cyrus released "Breakout," her second studio album that signified her departure from the Hannah Montana persona. Aimed at a more general audience, "Breakout" included hits like "7 Things" and showcased Cyrus's growing versatility as an artist.

Third Album: Can't Be Tamed

2010 saw the release of "Can't Be Tamed," an album that represented a significant transformation in Cyrus's image and musical style, leaning towards a more dance-oriented sound. The title track, "Can't Be Tamed," was a declaration of independence and a departure from her earlier, more wholesome image.

Fourth Album: Bangerz

"Bangerz," released in 2013, was a pivotal album in Cyrus's career, featuring a bold new sound and provocative imagery. Hits like "We Can't Stop" and "Wrecking Ball" dominated the charts, with the latter earning her a No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. "Bangerz" marked her full transition into a pop icon with a more mature content.

Fifth Album: Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz

In 2015, Cyrus released "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz," a psychedelic pop and experimental album, for free on SoundCloud. The project was a departure from her commercial releases, showcasing her artistic range and willingness to experiment with her music.

Sixth Album: Younger Now

"Younger Now" (2017) represented a return to Cyrus's country roots with a more subdued and reflective tone. The title track and "Malibu" highlighted her vocal abilities and personal growth, offering a stark contrast to the audaciousness of "Bangerz."

Seventh Album: Plastic Hearts

"Plastic Hearts," released in 2020, saw Cyrus embracing rock and roll influences, featuring collaborations with icons like Stevie Nicks, Billy Idol, and Joan Jett. The album, with hits like "Midnight Sky," was critically acclaimed for its sound, marking a successful genre crossover.
