Storyline

Minecraft: The Movie (2025) follows a rag-tag team of four misfits who stumble through a portal into the blocky, imaginative realm of the Overworld. Guided by the legendary crafter Steve (Jack Black), they must learn creativity, courage, and cooperation to survive Piglins, Endermen and a looming threat that could collapse both the Minecraft world and reality itself.

Why It’s Our Vibe

Director Jared Hess transforms the beloved sandbox game into a vibrant, family-friendly epic blending slapstick, heart and world-building. With Jason Momoa, Jack Black, Emma Myers and Danielle Brooks anchoring the cast and a kaleidoscopic visual style that celebrates playfulness and imagination, the film captures the spirit of building, exploring and surprising oneself in unexpected landscapes.
