Storyline

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026) continues the story of Din Djarin and his young apprentice Grogu after the fall of the Galactic Empire. As the fledgling New Republic works to stabilize the galaxy and hunt down remaining Imperial warlords, they enlist the legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter and his Force-sensitive companion for a high-stakes mission. Tasked with rescuing Rotta the Hutt in exchange for crucial information, Din and Grogu embark on a new adventure that tests their bond and expands their place in the post-Empire galaxy.

Why It’s Our Vibe

The Mandalorian and Grogu brings the beloved duo from the hit Disney+ series to the big screen with Jon Favreau at the helm. Pedro Pascal’s stoic Din Djarin and the endlessly charming Grogu remain the heart of the story, while the film expands the Star Wars universe with new threats, returning characters, and the signature Western-inspired bounty-hunter tone. Ludwig Göransson’s score, practical effects, and a mix of action and character moments make it a solid continuation for fans of the series, even if it doesn’t fully match the heights of the original show’s best episodes.

Perfection. I am not even a big Star Wars fanboy but I thought this film stood on its own.
