STORYLINE

Airplane! (1980) is a hilarious parody of disaster films, following the story of ex-fighter pilot Ted Striker, who has a fear of flying. When the crew of a commercial flight becomes incapacitated due to food poisoning, it's up to Striker to overcome his fears and land the plane safely. With the help of his ex-girlfriend, stewardess Elaine Dickinson, and a host of quirky characters, Striker navigates a series of absurd and comedic situations. The film's rapid-fire jokes, visual gags, and witty dialogue make it a timeless comedy classic.
