STORYLINE

Caddyshack (1980) is a comedy classic set at the exclusive Bushwood Country Club, where the snobs and the slobs clash in hilarious fashion. The story centers on Danny Noonan, a young caddy who works at the club to earn money for college. Danny tries to win the favor of Judge Smails, the pompous club president, to secure a college scholarship. Meanwhile, the club is thrown into chaos by the antics of its eccentric members, including the free-spirited golfer Ty Webb, the loud and obnoxious Al Czervik, and the obsessive groundskeeper Carl Spackler, who is determined to rid the golf course of a pesky gopher. The film is a riotous mix of slapstick humor, memorable one-liners, and outrageous characters.
