➱ STORYLINE:

In "Caddyshack II," the Bushwood Country Club finds itself at the center of chaos once again when real estate developer Jack Hartounian, a wealthy, eccentric newcomer, decides to join the club. His brash attitude rubs the snooty members the wrong way, especially the club's president, Chandler Young. When Young tries to push Jack out, a battle of wits and antics unfolds on the golf course. Full of wild gags and over-the-top performances, the film tries to capture the slapstick charm of its predecessor but with a new ensemble of comedic talents. As the clash between the old-money elite and the new-money maverick intensifies, hilarity ensues, culminating in an unforgettable showdown on the greens.

➱ STAFF REVIEW:

While "Caddyshack II" lacks the iconic status of the original, it still offers some laughs, albeit in a less cohesive and memorable manner. The movie tries hard to recapture the zany energy of the original, but much of the humor feels forced, and the absence of key cast members like Bill Murray and Chevy Chase (who only makes a brief cameo) is palpable. Jackie Mason’s performance as Jack Hartounian is lively and carries the film, while Dan Aykroyd’s bizarre portrayal of a military enthusiast is as eccentric as it gets. While it doesn't live up to the original "Caddyshack," the film has its moments for those looking for lighthearted, slapstick fun.

Ok, so it’s obviously not the original Caddyshack. It can be a little hard to watch at times although there are some funny parts. It really has a feel like it was thrown together over a weekend. Would not recommend unless you are just a curious viewer.
