Storyline
Released in 2021, "Don't Look Up" is a satirical comedy-drama that tells the story of two low-level astronomers, Dr. Randall Mindy and Kate Dibiasky, who discover a comet orbiting within the solar system. The catch? It's on a direct collision course with Earth. The film follows their media tour to try and warn mankind of an impending comet that will destroy planet Earth, only to find an unbelieving and apathetic world. Directed by Adam McKay, "Don't Look Up" combines humor with a stark commentary on society's response to climate change, political inaction, and the media's role in shaping public opinion.
