Storyline

Iron Man (2008) follows the story of Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and genius inventor who is captured by terrorists while demonstrating a new missile in Afghanistan. Forced to build a devastating weapon, Stark instead creates a high-tech suit of armor to escape captivity. Upon his return to America, Stark perfects the suit and decides to use his technology to fight against evil and protect the innocent. As Iron Man, Stark uncovers a nefarious plot within his own company, leading to a confrontation with his trusted associate, Obadiah Stane.
