Storyline

Black Phone 2 (2025) picks up four years after the first film: teenager Finney Blake, still haunted by his encounter with the Grabber, struggles with trauma while his younger sister Gwen begins receiving eerie phone calls in her dreams. As unsettling visions of three missing boys lead them to a snow-bound Christian youth camp, the siblings must confront the Grabber—now more powerful in death—and unravel the dark history linking the camp, their family, and the nightmare that won’t let them go.

Why It’s Our Vibe

This sequel amplifies the horror and emotional stakes of the original, plunging into surreal dream logic, grief, and the enduring torment of survival. Director Scott Derrickson trades jump scares for atmosphere and dread, weaving icy isolation with supernatural menace. Mason Thames and Madeleine McGraw anchor the story with raw vulnerability, while Ethan Hawke’s return as the Grabber fuels the fear with chilling precision. The Black Phone 2 isn’t just a chase—it’s a haunting examination of what happens when evil doesn’t die.
