Storyline
Released in 2020, "The Dig" is a historical drama that beautifully unfolds the story of the 1939 excavation of Sutton Hoo, one of the most significant archaeological finds in England. The film centers around Edith Pretty, a widowed landowner who hires amateur archaeologist Basil Brown to excavate the burial mounds on her estate. What they discover is a ship from the Dark Ages that could change history.
