STORYLINE:

The Great Outdoors is a delightful comedy that follows the Chicagoan Chester 'Chet' Ripley and his family as they embark on a vacation in the Wisconsin woods. There, they encounter Chet's annoying brother-in-law, Roman Craig, and his family. The clash of personalities leads to a series of comical mishaps and adventures, including bear encounters and water skiing mishaps.
