Storyline

The Hurt Locker (2009) follows the harrowing experiences of an elite bomb disposal team in Baghdad during the Iraq War. The film centers on Staff Sergeant William James, a fearless and often reckless bomb disposal expert who takes over a highly trained squad in the final weeks of their tour. His maverick approach to the job puts him at odds with his fellow soldiers, Sanborn and Eldridge, as they navigate the constant threat of death in a city where anyone could be the enemy.
