STORYLINE:

Silence (2016) is a historical drama that explores the profound and harrowing journey of two Jesuit priests in the 17th century. Father Sebastião Rodrigues and Father Francisco Garupe travel to Japan to locate their mentor, Father Ferreira, who is rumored to have renounced his faith under torture. Amidst severe persecution of Christians in Japan, the priests witness the brutal treatment of converts and the ultimate test of their own faith.
